MILD HOME Training Programme in Győr, HungaryPublished: 21.06.2014
12th June 2014 – 21st June 2014
The Hungarian MILD HOME Training Programme was organised as part of a one week long architecture workshop focusing on DIY techniques. In addition to the theoretical education, the participants - mainly architecture students - worked as a team in constructing a real-life architectural installation with real materials and tools.
The second day of the Training Programme consisted of the lectures and presentations of a MILD HOME conference. In the morning session the MILD HOME project was introduced with its aims and achievements so far, with the results of the MILD HOME Competition of Ideas, with its Hungarian entries also shown as an exhibition parallel to the conference. The afternoon session included themes connected to the MILD HOME project’s ‘sustainability, community and do-it-yourself’ proposals: natural building materials, green architecture, communal building and communal lifestyles.
On the Night of the Museums, as the closing event of the Training Programme the cloud-like installation was presented for its users, the visitors of the Museum and Community Centre in the old town of Győr.
Both the Conference and the actual building process attracted many visitors, becoming one of the key events in the MILD HOME project in Hungary.
